I’m in the same situation and I generally keep a good supply of: Instant oatmeal, chips & hummus, greek yogurt & honey. Mainly just breakfast food because that’s generally when I’m eating in the room. Try to avoid foods that have garbage that will rot. For example, banana peels attract fruit flies and smell bad if you don’t throw them away the same day.

I mean, it depends on what the off-campus situation is like at your school. But as long as you know everyone can pay for rent and food and you’ll all get along and be able to live together, you should be fine.
